Tersane Istanbul is one of the world's most comprehensive waterfront revitalization projects, blending the city's historical fabric with modern life. AVITENG has undertaken the critical technology integration covering the entire IT and network infrastructure of this massive complex. The project is built on a large-scale network architecture that requires seamless connectivity for thousands of endpoints.
The Tersane Istanbul project is not just a building complex, but a living ecosystem containing different dynamics within itself. As AVITENG, we played an active role in various points within this large campus, from the City Lines ferry pier to shopping mall interior areas, from tunnel structures providing technical transitions to gaming areas which are the heart of social interaction. By applying the most appropriate cabling, installation, and protection standards according to the unique architectural and environmental conditions of each area (humidity, dust, high ceilings, or outdoor conditions), we established a high-performance and reliable IT infrastructure throughout the project.
AVITENG designed and implemented the IT infrastructure, which is the digital heart of the Tersane Istanbul project, from end to end. Our business processes began with the installation of the fiber optic backbone that will provide high-speed data transmission throughout the shipyard and the meticulous termination of fiber cables at thousands of points. This infrastructure was built in a scalable structure that will also meet the future technological needs of the facility.
On the copper cable infrastructure side, the pulling and termination of thousands of data lines for offices, social areas, and technical units were carried out. Patching (connection) processes in the cabinets and panels located in all system centers were completed at professional standards, aiming for high performance and minimum signal loss. For the sustainability of the infrastructure, all lines were detailed and labeled in accordance with international standards.
To maximize the wireless network experience, Access Point (AP) installations were made at strategic points suitable for the architectural structure of the project. This wireless network structure, supporting wide coverage and high user density, was optimized to ensure that guests and staff stay connected without interruption.
The installation and integration processes of CCTV systems, which form the basis of the security infrastructure, were carried out by AVITENG. All necessary network configurations for the integration of cameras with the network and the secure storage of video data were completed and the systems were commissioned.
On the data security and network management side, advanced Firewall installations were made to inspect all traffic of the complex and provide protection against cyber threats. The network configuration was delivered as a turnkey IT ecosystem that provides both performance and maximum security by being segmented (VLAN) for different departments and usage areas.
