Istanbul Pendik Shipyard

Istanbul / Turkey

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Istanbul Pendik Shipyard is one of the largest industrial facilities in the history of Turkey's maritime and defense industry. This facility hosts Turkey's largest shipbuilding and maintenance dry docks.

Within the scope of the project, we undertook the installation of all audio systems in the hall, table box integrations, high-resolution projection systems, and the smart automation system providing seamless management of all these components from a single center. We completed all stages from cabling operations in the infrastructure phase to cable connections and final commissioning processes impeccably with our in-house staff from start to finish.

WHAT WE DID

AUDIO SYSTEMS

  • Dante-Based Audio Architecture: Installation of Dante-supported speakers providing high-quality and low-latency digital audio transmission, infrastructure Cat6 cable laying, and termination processes were completed.
  • Wireless Chairman and Delegate Microphones: Wireless chairman and delegate microphone units that make meeting and conference management effective were integrated into the system.

VIDEO SYSTEMS

  • Relacart PTZ Camera: Mounting, signal/power cabling, and end terminations of the Relacart PTZ camera were carried out to ensure high-resolution image capture throughout the hall.
  • Automatic Camera Tracking (Auto Tracking): The Relacart PTZ camera was connected to the Relacart VTS2000 tracking unit. Automatic focusing of the camera on the speaker was enabled based on the activated Relacart chairman and delegate microphones.
  • Projection and Screen Systems:
    • - Projection Installation: Mounting and calibration of the projection device were performed for optimum viewing angle and clarity.
    • - Motorized Screen: The mounting of special hanging brackets was completed, and the projection screen was securely attached and made operational.
  • ATEN HDMI Extender Solutions: ATEN HDMI extender modules were used in the signal line to ensure lossless and high-quality video transmission over long distances.

INSTALLATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS

  • Cable Tray and Infrastructure Setup: Cable trays were installed for the orderly routing of all audio, video, and power lines.
  • Legrand Table Box Integration:
    • - Conference tables were cut according to measurements and Legrand brand recessed table boxes were installed.
    • - Cat cables and power cables leading to the boxes were laid, and under-table connections were completed.
  • Modular Connection and Power Points: UPS socket inputs were added to all Legrand boxes. RJ45, HDMI, and DisplayPort connection interfaces were integrated into the box contents according to needs.
  • Central Rack Cabinet Setup:
    • - Physical mounting and layout of the Rack cabinet located in the system center were performed.
    • - All active/passive devices were placed inside the cabinet.
    • - All signal and power cables inside the cabinet underwent cable regulation (organization and labeling) and were presented in a neat structure suitable for intervention and aesthetic.

CONCLUSION AND AUTOMATION

  • ATEN Central Automation System: Physical installation and software configuration of the ATEN automation control unit were carried out.
  • System Integration and Delivery: Audio, video, camera tracking, infrastructure/cabinet solutions, and projection/screen control infrastructures were integrated into the central automation unit, and the entire system was delivered in a single-point manageable, user-friendly, and end-to-end smoothly working structure.
